RUA Medical is carefully monitoring the evolving situation around the spreading of the COVID-19 coronovirus.
RUA Medical remains committed to mitigating any potential impact on the supply chains and operations of our customers.
To this end, we have established several preventive measures to safeguard the health and well-being of our customers, suppliers, other business partners and ourselves. Overall, we follow the guidance provided by the World Health Organization (WHO). We also follow our own stringent hygiene control procedures for all cleanroom operations. According to the WHO, it has been established that coronaviruses do not survive long on objects, such as packing materials and other surfaces. Cleaning of such objects is addressed within our hygiene control procedures for all cleanroom operations.
We have also implemented remote working across our cross functional teams and introduced a shift system to prevent cross contamination between teams and sites.
At present, these extraordinary circumstances which are completely beyond our control, are not affecting lead times or business capacity, and we remain fully operational.
The RUA Medical Leadership Team will continue to monitor the situation closely and ensure that our customers and organisation are provided with the necessary information, and that actions required are taken.

RUA Life Sciences has become the latest accredited Living Hours employer in Scotland. Living Hours accreditation requires employers to pay the real Living Wage to all their employees over the age of 18 and commit to providing at least four weeks’ notice for every shift, with guaranteed payment if shifts are cancelled within this notice period.
