Young Scottish Engineer of the Year 2024

We are thrilled to announce that our very own Ross McPhillie was announced the winner of this year’s Young Engineer of the Year Award 2024 by Scottish Engineering in partnership with Hammermen of Glasgow on 23^rd May 2024. Ross joined RUA Medical Devices in June 2021 as an R &D Engineer and has been recognised for his innovation in prosthetic heart valve technology. Working in collaboration with his team he identified a compatible pattern for Elast-Eon™ polymer. This advancement promises improved patient outcomes, regardless of age or medical history and Ross’s pioneering work signifies a significant leap forward in cardiac care.

This is a fantastic achievement and we are all tremendously proud of him – Well done Ross!!
