We are delighted to have been nominated for an award at The CeeD Industry Awards, which took place at The Glasgow Hilton Hotel on 24th February 2022.
CeeD (Centre for Engineering and Education Development) hosted these flagship industry awards for Scotland’s manufacturing sector for the first time in over 2 years, and they presented a unique opportunity for engineering and manufacturing companies, academic organisations and partners to come together, to recognise the achievements of the many businesses that have excelled, despite the very challenging times the sector has faced recently.
CeeD received over 100 applications and RUA was shortlisted for the Women in Industry category, for ‘significant contribution or initiative to develop women in industry’.
Diversity within workforces has been known for decades to drive innovation and market growth, and RUA believes that striving for diversity through equality is crucial to our long-term growth and commercial stability. The measures that we have put in place have meant that we are close to 70 years ahead of public and private industry in achieving gender equality, with regards to both representation and pay within our workforce.
We are proud to be recognised for our commitment to not only achieving gender equality but empowering our current female workforce and the generations to come.

RUA Gains Living Hours Accreditation

RUA Life Sciences has become the latest accredited Living Hours employer in Scotland. Living Hours accreditation requires employers to pay the real Living Wage to all their employees over the age of 18 and commit to providing at least four weeks’ notice for every shift, with guaranteed payment if shifts are cancelled within this notice period.
